Comfort Coleman

Comfort Coleman is a multi-dimensional and multi-functional professional. She is a Certified Ethics Officer from the Ethics Institute of South Africa, a World-Bank funded initiative and a Certified DISC Trainer. Comfort is a consummate PR practitioner, a Human Resources Practitioner, a Journalist, a Teacher and a Culture Change Specialist who has garnered vast experience in Communications, Journalism, Broadcasting and Human Resource Management, spanning over 28 years.

She worked as a Senior Editor with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) and edited as well as contributed to many international journals and sports magazines particularly Tennis Africa and African Soccer. She was also a Stringer for the Voice of America, English-to-Africa service.

She was honoured with an award as the Best Sports Editor by the News Agency of Nigeria.

Mrs Coleman is the Managing Partner at NEKEGO Resources Ltd. Before then she was a General Manager at Skills-Farm Ltd, a company focused on supporting the HR function and professionals. Prior to joining Skills-Farm, she was the Chief Operating Officer for Poise Nigeria Ltd., a soft skills, Etiquette and personal development and productivity consulting company supporting corporate clients to provide learning interventions. She has over 28 years combined extensive training and Human Resources Management as well as Communication experience.

As the Chief Operating Officer of a Consulting and Training organisation, she learned workplace performance consulting first hand, a factor quite instrumental to her helping now to develop the Skills-Farm philosophies and practices. She also helped to position the company appropriately in the mind of its relevant publics.

For 4 years plus, she was a HR generalist during which she is credited with accomplishments that included development of an HR Dashboard for updating management with the progress of HR initiative and their impact on company strategy, she also implemented a training ROI analysis process that allowed managers to test and verify the real value derived from each training programmes implemented.

As the Chief Operating Officer of Skills Farm Ltd, Mrs. Coleman provided overall leadership, management direction, and was responsible for managing Skills-Farm’s relationship with its network of consultants at country level.  She directed the consulting aspects of the business, and was in the forefront of working with L&D and HR professionals to apply the many tools in Skill’s-Farm’s portfolios to solve problems in their specific scenarios.

Comfort is currently the Managing Partner of NEKEGO Resources, a Self-Management/Talent Management, Etiquette, Ethics and Corporate Branding organisation. She has an MSc Degree in Managerial Psychology and an MSc Degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos, and a combined degree in Psychology, Sociology and Mass Communication.

Today, Comfort combines her job of providing strategic direction for NEKEGO Resources with providing direction for the company’s project managers as it partners with L&D and HR professionals in their work in moving their clients and organisations forward.

She is a member of NIPR, SHRM and CIPM. In addition to her Ethics and DiSC work, she is also noted for her work in Coaching, Mentoring, Writing and Etiquette education.
